application- this is a deal with networking application.

presentation-is responsible for presenting the data .

session- establish, manage, and terminate the data.

transport- this layer breaks up the data from the sndding host and reassembles it in the reciever.

network- referred to as the "CISCOLAYERS"  end to end delivery

data link- MAC address
               use by switch  (PHYSICAL ADDRESS)

physical layer-defines  physical media.

     multicast
    broadcast


 broadcast domain- any device w/ in the group.
collision- the effect of two nodes sending transmission.
collision domain- the network area in etherned over which  frames  that have collided will be detected.
